Open That Eye! Worldwide! The corruption, the discrimination based on race, ethnicity, class, religion, gender or sexual orientation, the technological distractions, the subtle behavioral and social programming through "entertainment" and "news", political malfeasance and lies, the police brutality, the tampering and poisoning of our food and water, the almost irreversible destruction of our natural environment, the exploitation and hostage holding of the working class... Open That Eye!
I'm not silly or egotistical enough to think that this set of songs will change anything whatsoever, but in my opinion the purpose of art is to speak on whatever it is you want to speak on through whatever it is that you do. As I get on in life, and become more sensitive to the issues that affect not just me personally, but society at large, i feel that it's up to me to channel these things that weigh heavily on my mind and conscience through my sounds, whether people listen or care or not.
Clearly if you've read up to this point, you must care on some level, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly hope you enjoy this short set of tracks, bump them loud and bump them fairly often. There's more to come. To my family, my friends, and everyone that I've connected with through this journey, online and off, I truly have massive amounts of love for you! I say it often, but I say what I mean, and mean what I say. Enjoy life, and enjoy these tunes.
Respect!
